We took the whole company on a trip down to Yeovil in Somerset to take in the countryside and spend some time at one of our client's sites, the Haynes International Motor Museum. We had a great time at the museum, which hosts over 400 cars and bikes from the late 1800’s through to supercars like the Jaguar XJ220 - it’s a petrol head’s dream! Things got a little competitive in the afternoon with a go-karting session, but all’s fair in love and war.
Over the summer, we’ve had three new recruits join the Upbeat team, Sophie Arnold, Peter Birkwood and James Tillotson.
Our new Video Account Manager, Sophie Arnold, brings specialist skills in client liaison, digital communications, event management, PR and marketing. Sophie has worked closely with previous clients to fully understand their needs and develop appropriate strategies; including creating engaging written and video content and hosting consumer and press events to deliver results.
Peter Birkwood, joined the team in June in the new role of Financial Controller, focusing on the day to day finances of the business. Peter has over 20 years experience as a qualified accountant, both in the UK and overseas, which included running his own business.
James Tillotson joins the Upbeat team as Business Development Manager for the Technical team. James brings over 10 years of sales experience delivering projects of varying size and complexity and works in partnership with the customer as an extension of their business, in order to deliver the best solution and results.
We’ve also been busy building our new website, which was one of the final phases of the integration of Hydrant Ltd, now renamed Upbeat North Ltd, into Upbeat and we’re excited to see what the rest of this year has to bring!
