All three of our new recruits grew up in and around Annan in South West Scotland and it was only after they started work that they realised they all attended the same school and share mutual connections. It’s a small world, as they say!
A trio of new Scottish faces across our Carlisle and London offices.
Who’d have thought that recruiting for three very different roles at opposite ends of the country would result in hiring three talented individuals who grew up within eight miles of each other? The Hydrant Upbeat family has seen a recent flurry of new faces across both our Carlisle and London offices with a totally co-incidental, but strangely connected past.
First up we welcome Jamie Hollern as a Senior PHP / Drupal Developer based in our Carlisle office.

Jamie knows Upbeat well having worked for us in the past as a junior developer, so it’s great that his return brings a range of agency experience, including Drupal projects for The National Theatre, Dementia Services Development Centre, and Paddy Power World Cup sites. He’s a Drupal 8 expert and has slotted right into current projects for Haynes Publishing and Lantra. Jamie’s not afraid of sharing his opinions on the world be that in English or Spanish. He’s a great personality to have back in the Carlisle team.
Ayse Jamieson joins our London team as a Producer
Ayse brings a wealth of experience from the broadcast TV world, having worked with a wealth of talent, including Jools Holland, Nile Rodgers, Robert Plant and Elaine Paige, She’s also worked with Stephen Fry on the BAFTA Film Awards over the past several years. Ayse has worked in-house at the BBC and various other production companies producing content and new ideas for various channels. Away from the office she’s just finished her first short film and is now working on a secret new drama series, so she’s fully immersed in the sector. Ayse is already busy employing her infectious enthusiasm and Scottish charm to inspire clients and new prospects with great new ideas for video content.
