The Bath House, a luxury toiletries company based in Cumbria, asked us to create a new online shop for its bathing and bodycare products. The new site is elegant, informative and easy to use. Bath House can easily manage orders, control stock, and view reports and a wide range of other metrics.

The Bath House previous site allowed online sales but the product search functionality was limited and many users left without completing their orders due to a less than intuitive checkout process. In addition the company had few reports and metrics to monitor performance or inform improvements.


Since the site was launched there has been a 46% increase in visits, with a 10% reduction in the bounce rate, an overall sales increase of 40% and nearly 30% increase in revenue.

The Solution

The new site is built on feature-rich e-commerce solution Magento. Bath House staff can now process orders in multiple currencies, handle multiple delivery addresses and gift wrap options. They can also easily access reports on sales, users, abandoned shopping cart and search terms and can see at a glance which of their products are the most-viewed/purchased. The improved structure of the site enables intuitive product categorisation, products can be listed by type, fragrance and price as well as being search engine friendly.

In addition to providing ongoing email marketing support we are also involved with interpreting analytics and future improvement planning.
