Which? Case Study

For the last three years, we’ve worked alongside Which? and their internal teams and partners to co-create a number of new products, and to develop or replace a number of their existing applications. Throughout these projects, we have delivered software and product delivery management via extremely rapid and agile methodologies, working with a wide range of internal departments, consultants and data sources. We are proud that each project has been delivered on time and on budget.

Which? University

Drawing on data from a wide range of sources, we collated and combined the data and married it to Which?’s editorial content to produce the definitive guide to help students to make informed decisions about their higher education choices. Built in Ruby on Rails, and utilising an innovative data store to power the complex data analysis, search and ingection tools, this complex data driven website and its accompanying datatoolkits were constructed during a 12 week project utilising scrum. The simplicity of the design belies the complexity beneath of combining disparate data about sources and subjects! The website increases to grow in popularity, and won the “intohigher” award in 2013.

Aquafresh® High Definition White presents Big Brother's Big Makeover

We were asked by Endemol to create a YouTube live stream that incorporated a Google Hangout so that fans of Big Brother could interact with presenter Emma Willis and recently evicted housemates who were treated to a makeover by YouTube beauty blogger Fleur DeForce. The challenge for us was creating a traditional TV studio setup that worked with the Google Hangout technology. Once we had achieved this, we broadcast five 30 min live shows which Endemol then recut into shorter videos. The live shows were supported by primetime TV advertising and sponsored by Aquafresh.

Will you marry me? campaign with Yahoo and Renault

It is an old tradition that, on February 29th each leap year, women propose to men. Yahoo in partnership with Renault wanted to run a competition for couples to win their dream wedding proposal as part of Renault’s media agency MG OMD ‘Will you marry me?’ campaign. Three lucky finalists were invited to spend a romantic weekend in London and had their proposals filmed. In all three proposals, the brides-to-be got a yes! The winning couple drove away in a brand new Renault Twingo and the advertorial that we created was included in a Yahoo! Front Page Takeover on February 29. We also created videos for each couple to have as a memento of the day.
