Our co-founders Keith and Peter started working together in 2004 and formed a technology and product development consultancy, Chapter Media in 2007.  As they were regularly being asked to deliver projects as well as advise on them, in 2010 they founded Upbeat Productions to create a digital agency focused on a healthy culture, transparency, and quality work.

In 2016 as part of our growth strategy, Upbeat bought Hydrant Ltd, a leading Drupal focused digital agency in Carlisle, and in May 2018 we renamed the business Upbeat North Ltd. With both teams fully integrated, Upbeat now has an in-house team of over 30 experts based between our offices in Piccadilly Circus London and central Carlisle.

We are very proud of our record of success and happy clients, and equally of our honesty and quality. Upbeat's team has experience of delivering world-class user experience for the likes of Which?, Haynes, JK Rowling's "Pottermore", Robbie Willams and many others of note, and has won awards for its short film production.

We passionately believe that we can create a high-quality product, with exacting standards and architecture that is affordable.

  • We act as an extension of our client's team
  • We build long-term relationships as production, development and advisory partners
