Growing national presence, new faces and additional services.
Upbeat are pleased to announce the acquisition of Hydrant, a Carlisle and Cheltenham based digital agency specialising in Drupal website development.
This move builds on both companies’ history and experience with Drupal. Hydrant has key technical experience built delivering a wide range of projects for clients as diverse as Dizzee Rascal, The Commonwealth Secretariat and the Food Standards Agency, as well as many businesses and non-profit organisations such as Lantra and the Scottish Book Trust.
Hydrant Founder, Leo White, says; “This is a really exciting step for Hydrant and our clients. It means we can offer much more, while not compromising the local staff and knowledge we’ve built up over many years.”
“I wanted Hydrant to broaden from our Drupal specialism and realised this meant being part of something bigger, but not too big. Upbeat are like another Hydrant - doubling what we can offer without compromising our culture and values.”
Hydrant will continue to operate as usual with all staff and key points of contact unchanged.
Upbeat’s Co-Founder and Director, Keith Greenhalgh, said; “Hydrant is a great addition to the Upbeat family. We use similar methodologies and share the same values and approach. Hydrant is a great extension to our overall capability in Drupal and Rails, the combination will significantly increase our ability to support our growing client portfolio, and is part of our strategy to hire, support and invest in quality people. We’ve always had staff in a range of locations outside of London, and it’s great to be able to service clients more locally, and help grow regional talent.”
